Why AI images are hard to use in a game
Ask an AI image tool for a transparent PNG and you often get a grey and white checkerboard painted into the picture. It looks transparent in the chat window, but in your game it is a solid square. Other tools give you a flat white or green background. And when you do cut the picture out, the edge pixels still hold a bit of the old background, so the character glows with a thin light rim on a dark level or a dark rim on a bright one.
What this tool does
Finds the background. Auto looks at the border of the image and recognises a painted checkerboard, a flat colour or real transparency. You can also click the background in the left picture to pick the colour yourself. Removes it. Only background that touches the edge is removed, so white eyes or teeth inside a white-background picture stay. Turn on the option for gaps inside the picture when there are holes, such as between an arm and the body. Cleans the edges. Every edge pixel is checked for how much of the old background colour it contains. That colour is taken out and the pixel gets a matching transparency, so the edge blends into any new background. Tidies up. Tiny leftover specks are removed, the picture is trimmed with the padding you choose, and the colour under fully clear pixels is filled in so engines do not draw dark fringes when they scale the sprite.

Switch the preview background. Hot pink shows any halo straight away, dark shows a light rim and white shows a dark rim. Zoom to 4× to look at single pixels.
