Game BGM Generator

Pick a mood for your game, like adventure, battle, boss, dungeon, town, chiptune or lo-fi, and get six new background tracks made in your browser. Press New tracks for six more as often as you like. Edit the one you like: turn the drums or melody off, change the tempo and key, swap instruments, or roll a new melody. Every track loops without a gap, so you can drop it straight into your game. Download WAV for free. Pro adds MP3, longer versions and all six in one ZIP. Everything you make is yours to use in commercial games.

Adventure

Every track is made in your browser from a seed. The same code always makes the same track. Tracks are free to use in your games, also commercial, with no credit needed.

Background music in one click

Pick the mood of a scene and the generator writes six new tracks for it: a key, a chord progression, a melody, a bass line, drums and the right instruments for the mood. A battle theme gets a fast minor key and driving drums. A dungeon gets slow chords, a bell melody and a lot of echo. Chiptune uses square waves and noise drums like an 8-bit console. Press New tracks and you get six more. There is no limit to how many you can try.

Change the track you like

Press Edit on a track to make it yours. Turn parts off, like the drums for a calm scene or the melody for a track that sits under dialogue. Change the tempo, move the key up or down, swap the melody instrument or the drum style and set how much echo there is. Roll a new melody or new chords while the rest stays the same. Every change plays at once, and Back to the original undoes it all. The track code keeps your edits.

Made to loop

Game music plays on repeat, so every track is one seamless loop. The end flows back into the start with no click or gap, and the echo at the end is folded back into the first beat. Import the WAV into Godot, Unity or GameMaker and turn on looping. In Godot, select the WAV, open the Import tab, set Loop Mode to Forward and click Reimport. In Unity, tick Loop on the AudioSource.

The moods

MoodSound
AdventureBright major keys, a mid tempo and a hopeful melody for the overworld.
Battle and BossFast minor keys, galloping bass and hard drums. Boss tracks add organ, brass and timpani.
Dungeon and HorrorSlow dark chords, bells, drones and long echo. Horror uses dissonance and a heartbeat.
Town, Puzzle and Lo-fiCalm and cozy: plucks, bells, electric piano, light swing.
Chiptune and Synthwave8-bit square waves and fast arpeggios, or 80s saw synths with a four on the floor beat.
Piano and Slow stringsSlow and emotional: a piano with a broken chord left hand, or a violin melody over strings and cello. For story scenes, sad moments and endings.
Title and JinglesSlow epic strings for menus, and short stingers for victory, level up, item get and game over.

Can I use the music in my game?

Yes. The tracks are made by code in your browser and belong to you. Use them in free and commercial games, videos and streams. No credit is needed.
