What a press kit needs
Writers, streamers, festival curators and store editors have little time. A press kit answers their questions in one place: the game's name, developer, release date, platforms and price, a short and a longer description, the main features, a trailer, screenshots and logos they are allowed to use, and an email address that reaches a person. The layout follows presskit(), the format made popular by Rami Ismail, because many writers already know where to look on it.
Tips that get you covered
Put the one-line description first and make it say what the player does. Use five to eight screenshots that each show something different, at full resolution and without interface clutter where you can. Add a transparent logo and one wide key art image, which sites use as a header. Keep the trailer short and link the store page so readers can wishlist right away. Only add quotes from real reviews or articles, with the source.
Publishing it
The free download is a single HTML file with the images built in, which you can open, attach to an email or upload anywhere. For your own website, the Pro folder keeps images as separate files so the page loads faster, and includes a ZIP of every image for the "download all" button. Host it at an address like yourstudio.com/presskit.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The page is built in your browser.
