How the suggestions are made
Each region gets a share of your US price based on local spending power and what games usually cost there, then the result is converted with the exchange rate and rounded to a price that looks normal in that store, like 1,480 yen or 21,500 won. Euro and pound prices follow the habit most Steam games use, where a 19.99 dollar game is about 19.99 euros.
These are our own estimates, not Valve's numbers. Steamworks shows Valve's recommended prices for every currency when you set your price. Use this page to plan, compare and spot outliers, then check the final numbers in Steamworks.
Why regional pricing matters
A player who cannot afford your US price was never going to buy at that price. A fair local price turns some of them into buyers, and players in lower-priced regions often leave reviews that help your page everywhere. Prices that are too high in one region also lead to negative reviews about the price.
Sales and the dollar regions
Some regions on Steam pay in US dollars at a lower regional price, such as the Latin America and Middle East and North Africa groups. The sale column shows each price after your discount, so you can see if a deep sale drops a region below the lowest price you want.
